A real love story has no ending

With June nearly over, perhaps we'll start seeing a little wedding hiatus—until August, that is. So clearly the next thing all we wedding planners and wedding goers need to do is get scrappin'!  If you follow our Facebook fan page (which, you should, because we've been introducing some killer contests that can get you some super free stuff), then you already know who won our wedding scrapbook page contest, and that she received the Solutions: Wedding Cricut cartridge. Today it's our pleasure to feature the winner and runner up right here on our blog, and present a couple other great ideas from some of our fav brands!

Winner of the Facebook Wedding Scrapbook Page—Susan

And Sherry was the runner up! Great job ladies!

With a little over a week left in June, summertime festivities are really just starting to begin. Excitement is almost tangible in the air. Around these parts, children are chomping at the bit for the thunder, lightning and rain to clear up so they can cannonball into the nearest pool. And most importantly: The firework stands are popping up all over town.

Who's excited for the 4th of July? The holiday itself wreaks of fun, family togetherness, food and freedom! However you decide to celebrate, do it in style! Check out this stylish selection of home decor.

Sometimes it's the simplest look that pulls off the biggest bang. This Sizzix star wreath is simple in its sophistication:

With a touch of the Cricut's Alphalicious cartridge, you too can be a proud American:

This dashing Provo Craft USA can be created with your favorite Cricut font and a good, hearty Cricut star. Personally, the star on Doodlecharms is a charming one indeed! Everyone is entitled to their favs, right:

And here's a fun one to get you in the mood for our country's b-day. This Scenic Route idea can be created with your favorite red, white and blue paper (have you seen Oh My Craft's and Bazzill's monochromatic paper packs???), a good ol' star (we've already shown you a great Cricut and Sizzix star), some wire, and the Alphalicious cartridge (or another—it's really up to your preference!) :

What are some of YOUR project ideas? E-mail them to projects at ohmycrafts dot com. Tell us what Oh My Crafts products you used, and we might just post it for the world to see!

Happy crafting!

This just in...

What's the difference?

Thursday, June 11, 2009

Many people ask us what the difference is between the regular Cricut cartridges, and the Solutions cartridges. That is a wonderful question!

Most regular cartridges have about 100 designs and six creative features. A solutions cartridge only has about 50 designs and two creative features. As a result, the Solutions line costs less because it contains less. Furthermore, Solutions cartridges come packaged without the traditional storage box and do not contain the booklet, which helps to keep the shipping cost lower.

Hopefully that helps! To view more Cricut pointers, there's a wonderful site that answers gazillions of questions. Click here.

Mkay now. Don't forget that the free shipping sale ends TONIGHT. Get on that train if you haven't. And want a sneak peak at tomorrow's sale???? Sure you do. Welp—we're bringin' it back since it was so popular—the Summer Kick-Off sale! You'll be able to use the code SUMMER15 for an extra 15% off ANY order!

Happy crafting!
