Life is a Garden

May we present...

Liz Qualman!

"
I guess you could say I have been paper crafting since Kindergarten, but I officially started to scrapbook in the winter of 2006, when I blew out my knee during ski season. While I was recovering from surgery, I decided it was probably time to do something with all of the photos we had amassed of our daughter. I did what every novice scrapper should and joined an online site to learn more about this hobby. This was such a great opportunity to make friends with other artists and learn a lot about the industry. More than 4 years later you can find me obsessing over paper, embellishments and adhesives. I would categorize my style as Cute, Bright, Clean and Sassy, which is just right for the two little stinkers I have at home. I also live in the beautiful Rocky Mountains with my family and teach in our local school district. Scrapbooking is definitely my favorite way to channel creative energy and to share ideas with others."

Liz is part of the design team for Imaginisce and is going to be attending OMC's Discovering Possibilities event coming this fall! You can check out Liz's blog by clicking here: My Little Sketch Blook

Today we want to show you a little of what Liz can do.  She's created an adorable layout with the new Berrylicious line from Imaginisce. Check it out!

Life is a Garden by Liz Qualman

Warm weather is quickly approaching and it is time to enjoy playing outside again. I can’t think of a better paper collection to showcase the wonders of a delicious summer than Imaginisce’s Berrylicious collection. It will have you buzzing with creativity and definitely add a bit of sunshine and rainbows to your crafty day. I love how this collection goes with the outdoorsy photo of my daughter and husband.

The Berrylicious collection comes with this wonderful die cut rainbow and I think it frames my page perfectly. I used my Cricut Once Upon a Princess cartridge to cut the single cloud and then traced the blue outline with a gel pen. Aren’t the little bees in the honeycomb paper adorable? They add such a fun flair to the project.

I created this cluster with some of Imaginisce’s paper flowers and chipboard from the Berrylicious collection. To dress them up and polish it off, I added some buttons and string.

These seed packet journal cards are so clever. They are heavy weight cardstock and perfect for writing something special. I love how you can add a name or a date in the scroll at the bottom. I also used my i-rock to add some glam rocks for some sparkle.
