  2. Well, its winter here, so I should just travel to the US for summer! I can have summer all year round. Where ever I head to, I just need a camera and a tonne of Bo Bunny Barefoot and Bliss paper from OMC to make fabulous summery beach layouts when I get home.

  3. Summer holiday? We absolutely love ROTTNEST ISLAND, off the coast of Western Australia... If ever you get the chance, make sure you head there. We go for a week and experience beautiful beaches, bikeriding for the whole family, cute little quokkas (not found anywhere else in the world) and of course it wouldn't be an Aussie Summer without a BBQ for dinner each night! Too gorgeous to fully describe, best I go scrap some pages about it!! Thanks for the chance!

  4. My Husband travels frequently for his job so we take mini vacations during our summer when ever we can fit them in.

This month we are going to Wilmington NC for one of our mini vacations.

Besides the beach, Wilmington has alot of fun things to do. There are several historic houses and plantations to visit, a WWII Battleship, deepsea fishing, an Aquarium, Haunted Tours of Old Wilmington, shopping, tours of the screen gems studios, etc.

Wilmington is one of our favorite places to visit.

  5. Presently I am in Boston for 2 weeks. I am helping my sister and her family get their house ready to sell. It's been a work vacation, but we've managed to get a day at Cape Cod,some sighteeing in, and some family time in. I'm from Minnesota, so this was a great get away.

  6. We are mostly about "staycations" here. We are going to go camping at Allegeny State Park, and so some camping at our property in the country. BUT...no big trips planned for us. Camping is what we are all about.

  7. We have what we call "stay"cations.... My hubs works out of town ALL the time, so wherever he's currently "stay"ing/working is our "stay"cation. This year it is Jacksonville, FL...... (last yr it was San Francisco). We get to travel to any of his working locations and spend time with him and have a vacation all at the same time!!! Courtesy of his company!!!

  9. Hmmmm...I'm not sure anybody would ever consider it vacationing, but we follow and support our soon-to-be-a-senior daughter with summer softball. We go every weekend (almost) and watch up to 8 games. We eat sunflower seeds, drink lots of water, use lots of sunscreen, and tote chairs and coolers just about everywhere we go! Go team Fury!!!

  23. This year will be our fourth year renting a cabin at Little Norway resort in Park Rapids, MN for the fourth of July week . We've been a bit notorious during our stays. The first year there, my daughter rolled out of bed in the middle of the night and broke her collar bone. She was a rock star that week. The second year, we brought a boat and promptly sunk it (recovered it as well, but we won't be taking the boat back again). Last year, we made it out unscathed except for the chiding we received from the resort staff (all in good fun, right?). This year, I again hope to enjoy our week with no mishaps. This is also the first year that my girls. 6 and 7, have been talking about going to the cabin since Christmas. They love the beach, catching frogs, getting temporary tattoos out of the vending machine, catching (and releasing) fish, and feeding the ducks. We really enjoy our time there!

  26. This summer, I am traveling to So. Cal. for a 70 year reunion of a music camp I attended as a camper, then counselor, then cook, then camp nurse. I am so anxious to see some long-time friends that I haven't been able to see in person for a long, long time and to reconnect with others that I have lost contact with over the years.

I think I am the ONLY 55 year old person that has never seen Yellowstone Park. Our daughter moved to Bozeman, MT so Yellowstone is only an hour away. Ive seen the park in National Geographic and on TV since I was a small child, so this will be a great time!

  28. Well, we moved to Ohio from New York 4 years ago, so seeing family can be difficult...but this May, at age 45 I graduated college, so in the beginning of June my mom took me on my very first cruise! My dad and his wife visited us in New York for father's day weekend, and In July, we are traveling to Michigan to celebrate my father-in-laws 70th birthday! So, while it may not be exotic, or far away, we are spending our summer with the ones we love...our family!

  29. Our family will be home bodies this summer. However, we will venture to our back yard for some crazy crafting: jackson polluck painting, crazy construction, making floats with hot wheel cars, toilet paper tubes for marble ramps, giant weaving (on snow fence)!! I have two little boys (and a ton of friends) that need entertaining!! Thanks.

  33. We tend to like to vacation in the off season so we did our beachtime early in april and will do our Disney time in september! In the meantime, we do a lot of trips to the zoo and aquariums because my daughter is in love with animals and dolphins! We also do nature walks and hikes and truly enjoy our surroundings in our resident state. It's fun to just have a mid-summer stay-cation!

  34. I am so lucky and thankful this summer. I have already been on a week long trip to Riviera Maya for a friend's wedding. Plenty of pictures taken to scrapbook. I also am going to Nashville TN later this summer for a scrapbook convention. I went to one last year close to home and enjoyed it so much that I saved money and wanted to make a vacation out of it this year. :)

  36. Very little money to do much this summer. But we had a wonderful vacation as a family in 2009. We live in Ohio and spent the entire week taking one tank trips. One day was spent in Amish town. Another we went to Cleveland and went from one cool place to another. The best one was going to Sweeties Candies. It is a store that is nothing but candy. My kids were ages 11, 9 and 8. As a surprise, when we got there my husband and I told them.."the sky is the limit.. anything you want!" They were litterally 3 kids in a candy store. They spent over $100 and had a blast. I have so many pictures to scrapbook, and so many ideas.. I want to make it perfect. Title will be "Happy as 3 kids in a candy store."

  37. This summer we are spending our vacation at our camp in the mountains. It is nice to get away for 9 days and not have a set schedule. Our days will be spent at the river swimming and fishing and evenings sitting around the campfire. A bonus for me is that we are about 10 miles from the closest town and they have a scrapbook store!
Thank you for the opportunity of winning an awesome goodie bag!

Our beach trip is a family affair, my husband, my son, my mom and her husband, my brother and his wife and myself will all be there. 104. This Summer I'm really hoping we can do over last summer. Every vacation we had planned we either had to cut short, or come off the end of it for a funeral/illnesss. We lost so many loved ones, and packing up and getting away was starting to scare everyone. Hopefully in another couple of weeks, we can head upnorth for a much needed vacation with only the beach and swimming to occupy our family.

  109. My daughters, grand daughters and a couple of Friends
had a Tea for the women of a very impoverished neighborhood. We simple crafts, did hair cuts, manicures with special nail painting. About 20 women and their daughters came. We all had a wonderful time and they are excited about the next Tea, which we will be having very soon.
