Instructions:
1. Cut the Designer Book Board 6" x 12". Mix the white paint with 1 drop of the Distress Re-Inker. Paint the mixture onto the sides and back of the board. From the Little Darlings paper pack, cut the blue baby print 6" x 12" to cover the board.
2. Using the Vintage Doily punch, punch strips to cover the edges of the board. Ink the edges of the strips. Using the craft tape, adhere.
3. Cut the "B" on the eclips (size 5.55) with the shadow in the green ribbon print, and then normal shape in the dot paper. Ink the edges. Mount the B's together and attach to left side of the banner.
4. Pick two punch outs from the paper pack, sand the edges smooth, ink the edges, and attach to the bottom of the board.
5. Stamp your chosen stamps on the vanilla cardstock, cut out the images, and ink the edges. Attach to the board.
6. Cut out triangle banner pieces, ink the edges, and spell out "Baby" using the stickers letters from paper pack. Cut a piece of twine, adhere to banner pieces to the twine, and attach the full banner to the board.

Hot Air Balloon Card

Instructions:
1. Cover the front of the Letterpress square fold card with a piece of the Be Amazing collection.
2. Cut a circle out of another piece of Be Amazing using the Framelits die size of your choice. Cut half circles out along the bottom to make the hot air balloon shape. Ink the edges of the hot air balloon.
3. Cut out a cloud shape and a basket shape out of coordinating paper.
4. Cut a piece of twine and wrap it around the basket shape. Tie a bow on the front.
5. Cut out 5 pieces of twine. For each of the pieces of twine, attach one side to the back of the basket piece and one side to the point on the hot air balloon. Attach the hot air balloon and basket shapes to the front of the card using foam Squares.
6. Attach the cloud shape to the left of the hot air balloon.

Instructions:
1. Stain each block using the distress stain.
2. Cut 2 ½" x 2 ½" squares out of different patterned papers. Ink the edges with the distress ink using the ink blending tool.
3. Adhere the patterend papers to the blocks using Mod Podge.
4. Press down firmly to get out any excess Mod Podge or bubbles. I like to use a brayer to really press them down well!
5. Using the eclips, cut out vinyl letters to spell whatever word you are using. I used all capital letters for RILEY. Attach the vinyl letters to the blocks.
6. Mod Podge each side of the wood blocks.

Helpful Hints for Wood Designs!

OMC Designer Jill put together this list of helpful hints that are good to know when working with the new OMC Wood Design shapes!

We are finding that wood crafting is new to many of our customers so we thought we would give you a few little tips to help you be more comfortable with this brand new, fun and exciting craft!

- One of the easiest and funnest ways to decorate the wood is with paper. There are literally thousands of patterns that you can choose from. Most crafters have stacks of papers already in their craft rooms. Although I personally feel you can NEVER have enough paper!

- To begin with, simply trace around your letter or shape and cut out. Do this before you stain or paint so that no stain or ink accidentally gets on your paper!

- One of the most important things to remember is to stain or paint the sides of your wood before gluing down your paper. It is extremely difficult once you have adhered your paper on to the wood to then go back and stain or paint the sides. The paper will always be in the way!

- Adhere your paper to the wood using Mod Podge. I have found that too little dries too fast and too much tends to make the paper bubble. So practice with the different amounts!

- Once the paper is adhered it is extremely important to press out all bubbles and let it dry. A lot of times I will use a brayer to really make sure I get it down well!

- Quite often there is a small amount of paper that will be hanging over the edges. I simply take a large nail file and sand the edges pulling down away from the paper. This takes of the excess and also distresses the edges. You can do as little or as much as you want!

- I love to use an Inkssentials blending tool and the Tim Holtz Distress Inks to ink the edges of the paper. Sometimes I think “maybe I won’t ink the edges this time” but when I do I am always much happier with the way it looks. It’s kind of like the ink just gives the project that extra little pop!

- To finish off the project I will give it another coat of Mod Podge. It is very important to make sure that first coat of Mod Podge under the paper is dry before applying the top coat! I have found that this lessens any bubbling as well!

- Don't forget to embellish with any of the numerous embellishments that we have available. Some of my favorites are Prima Flowers, Stickles, or our new crafting wire soon to be on our website!

Why Wood Shapes?

Have you noticed what the buzz is at Oh My Crafts recently? It’s all about WOOD!

Our very own OMC Designer Jill has been working hard to bring you some absolutely adorable wood projects. If you've been following our blog, you'll know exactly how cute her projects really are! Here's what Jill has to say about the new Wood Designs:

Wood crafting is HUGE right now and there are so many ways that you can express yourself with wood! Check out our Wood Designs category as we have seasonal shapes for all sorts of events such as Valentines, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, and more!

And we have 3x3 wood blocks and different sizes of rectangular blocks. There are so many different ways you can decorate these woods shapes. Using our wood blocks you can say anything you want to say with wood!

Use the blocks to decorate your child’s room with their name….or add a bit of country to your kitchen by using the rectangle blocks to add that vintage farm look! The possibilities are endless! Wood décor is an absolutely fantastic way to add an extra personal touch to your home! If you have ever covered any wood design with paper, you know just how challenging it can be to cut it out perfectly. All of the Wood Designs at Oh My Crafts have .svg files available that coordinate with the wood designs. So now instead of spending extra time tracing and cutting yourself, you can purchase the svg file and have your digital cutting machine (i.e. Cameo, eclips…) cut out the design for you. Mother's Day Card

Instructions:
1. Cut the green American Crafts polka-dot paper 5" x 10" and ink the edges with the Clearsnap ink pad.
2. Cut a piece of salmon colored paper 4" x 4" and ink the edges. Cut the yellow floral paper 3 ¾" x 3 ¾" and ink the edges. Add adhesive to the back of the yellow floral paper and attach to the salmon colored paper. Using a sewing machine, sew along the edges of the yellow and salmon colored papers. Attach the salmon and yellow piece to the front of the green polka-dot card.
3. Punch a 4” edge using the edge punch of your choice and ink the edges. Wrap a piece of twine lengthwise around the punched paper. Glue the twine in place on the backside of the punched paper. Glue the punched paper onto the left side of the salmon and yellow papers.
4. Stamp the "Happy Mother's Day" stamp in the bottom corner of the yellow floral paper.
5. Using the same green polka-dot paper, cut a leaf shape and ink the edges. Place the dimensional flower sticker to the left side of the floral yellow paper next to the stamped saying. Attach the polka dot leaf slightly under the flower.

Instructions:
**Make sure to change the settings on the eclips machine to properly cut your vinyl.
1. Cut the designer book boards down to 6" x 6" and sand any rough edges. Cut out six 6" x 6" pieces of paper out of the Plumeria Collection. Ink the edges of the paper with the distress ink and adhere to the book boards.
2. Using the eclips cartridge cut out six eggs size 5.00. Ink the edges with the Stormy Sky ink pad and adhere one egg to the center of each of the squares.
3. Cut out the letters for "EASTER" in size 4.85. Adhere each letter to the center of one egg.
4. Adhere the stickers that come with the collection pack to the different pieces of book board using the foam squares.
5. Add other jewels and embellishments as necessary.
6. Using your Crop-a-Dile, punch holes in the top left and right corners. String ribbon through the holes to connect the banner.

Ducky Wood Shapes

Krylon : Clear Spray

Instructions:
1. Stain the sides of the ducky with distress stain.
2. Paint the front and back of the ducky with yellow craft paint. Let dry.
3. Paint the front of the ducky with a coat of Mod Podge and cover heavily with glitter. Make sure you are pouring the glitter on over a sheet of paper so you can pour the excess back into the container! Let the glitter sit, then turn the ducky over and tap off any excess glitter.
4. Spray the front of the ducky with a clear sealer. Let dry.
5. Paint the sides of the ducky with a coat of Mod Podge. Let dry.
6. Add an eye using a black jewel.

Here's another cute way to decorate the Ducky!

Instructions:
1. Trace the ducky with some cute scrapbook paper and cut out.
2. Stain the sides of the ducky with the distress stain.
3. Apply a coat of Mod Podge to the front of the ducky and glue down the paper you cut out. Press firmly pressing out any excess Mod Podge and bubbles. I use a brayer to really get the paper down well!
4. Using a file, sand the sides of the ducky to get off any paper that may be over the edges and to distress the edges.
5. Ink the edges using an ink blending tool and the distress ink.
6. Mod Podge the front of the ducky to seal the paper and ink. Let dry.
7. Add an eye using a black jewel.

Instructions:
1. Trace each letter with a different piece of paper from the Ambrosia pack.
2. Cut out each shape.
3. Stain the sides and backs of each wood letter with the distress stain.
4. Glue each piece of paper to its coordinating letter using Mod Podge. Press firmly to press out all bubbles. I like to use a brayer to really get the paper secure. Allow to dry.
5. While your paper is drying you can distress the edges using some sort of sanding tool. I really like to use the Basic Grey Sanding Tool Kit. Use the small tools to get into the intricate parts of these letters!
6. Distress the sides of the papers using the distress ink and an Inkssentials blending tool.
7. Coat the paper and sides of the wood with Mod Podge to seal the ink and paper.
8. I chose to highlight parts of the "S" and the flower pot by adding a bit of sparkle by using the Stampendous Glass Glitter. I added small amounts of decoupage glue and sealer to the wood, then sprinkled small amounts of the crushed glass glitter over the top. Make sure to tap off the excess.
9. I dyed the ribbon for the bow with the glimmer mist by spraying directly on the ribbon and then crunching it up as I dried it with an embossing heater. I had to dye it approximately 6 times to get the right shade of yellow that I needed to match the paper.

Instructions:
1. Stain each side of the blocks with the Tim Holtz distress stain and allow to dry.
2. Cut out coordinating paper 3 - 4 ½" and 3 - 3".
3. Round the corners of each paper with the paper punch.
4. Ink the edges of each paper with the Inkssentials blending tool and coordinating ink pad colors.
5. Mod Podge the front of the block and quickly glue down the paper you will be using for your first letter. Pressing firmly. I like to use a brayer to make sure my paper is down really good! Allow to dry fully.
6. Once each piece of paper is down, coat the entire block with a layer of Mod Podge. Allow to dry.
7. Cut out the letters to spell "SPRING/EASTER" using all lower case letters. For SPRING, the letters are cut out of paper. For EASTER the letters are cut out of vinyl. Ink the edges using coordinating ink pads.
8. Adhere the letters to the blocks using the 3L foam squares to make the letters pop off the wood!
9. Embellish with the coordinating embellishments.

Instructions:
1. Paint each block with your craft paint to coordinate with the papers you plan to use.
2. Cut out a piece of paper for each block, 2 ½" x 2 ½" inches.
3. Round each corner of each piece of paper with the Large Corner Rounder punch.
4. Glue each piece of paper onto one side of each block with Mod Podge. Press firmly to make sure they are attached well and any bubbles are pressed out. Allow to dry.
5. Sand the edges of each block to expose some of the plain wood.
6. Ink the edges of each block with Vintage Photo distress ink pad.
7. Once the paper is dry, cut out the letters "H", "O", and "P" using the brown vinyl and the eclips cartridge.
8. Attach the letters to each block using transfer tape. Carefully cover the blocks with a layer of Mod Podge to seal the paper, vinyl and inks.

Chocolate Bunny Wood Shapes

Instructions:
1. Trace the shape of the bunny onto the paper and cut out.
2. Stain the edges and the back of the rabbit using the Frayed Burlap distress stain. 
3. Mod Podge the front of the bunny and quickly glue the paper down. Press firmly using a brayer to make sure the paper is secure. Allow to dry completely.
4. While it is drying you can file the edges of the rabbit to clean up the paper and distress the edges.
5. Ink the edges using the Vintage Photo distress ink pad.
6. Once the Mod Podge is completely dry, paint another coat of Mod Podge over the entire surface. Front, back and sides!
7. Tie a cute bow around his neck and place an eye on for embellishment.

Instructions:
1. Paint the back of the eggs with white paint.
2. Trace the pattern of the eggs onto the paper of your choice.
3. Cut out each shape.
4. Glue the paper onto wood with Mod Podge. Press firmly to press out any bubbles.
5. Trim the edges of the paper on the wood by sanding with a file.
6. Measure the width of the base of the egg and cut out a stripe of coordinating paper long enough to go around the edge of the egg. Glue down with Mod Podge.
7. Carefully sand any extra paper and remember that some distressing is fine.
8. Ink the edges of the eggs with coordinating Tim Holtz distress ink pads.
9. Embellish with the embellishments from the Bunny Hop paper pack.

Easter Wood Block

 Instructions:
1. Stain the wood block using the Tim Holtz Frayed Burlap Distress Stain.
2. Using the My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Dolled Up “Cute” Garden Paper, trace the shape of the wood and cut out.
3. Glue the cut out piece of paper to the block of wood using Mod Podge. Press firmly to make sure it is adhered well. I like to use a brayer tool to really press down hard on it.
4. As the Mod Podge is drying, use a large file or some kind of sanding tool and sand the sides of the wood heavily. You want to sand off quite a bit of the paper and expose a raw edge to the paper.
5. Cut out the word "Easter" out of vinyl using the Sizzix eclips Easter cartridge.
6. Peel the vinyl off to make a stencil for your word Easter. You will have to add the circle for the "a" and the "e" back into the stencil to complete it.
7. Place the stencil onto the wood and press down firmly.
8. Using the Inkssentials blending tool and the Walnut Distress Ink, lightly ink inside the stencil. Once you have inked it as much as you want, let the ink dry fully then peel off the stencil. You should now have the word Easter printed on your paper.
9. Mod Podge the entire block. Allow to dry.
10. Using the Easter Cartridge and the green cardstock, cut out two pieces of grass 1.16" x 4.33". You will need two pieces of grass to cover the bottom of the block.
11. Once the grass is cut, glue it down to the bottom of the block, piecing together the two pieces of grass.
12. Add the Jolee's Boutique Rocking Eggs Repeats behind the grass.
