Mother's Day Candy Box by OMC designer Whitney!

Supplies Used:

· My Minds Eye : Hip Hooray – 12x12 Girl Paper & Accessories Kit
· Inkssentials : Blending Foam
· Stampendous : Cling: Jumbo Hydrangea Set
· American Crafts : Zing! Embossing Powder - Silver
· American Crafts : Pebbles Inc Chalks- Metallics
· Making Memories : Ribbon Spool - Noteworthy Ridged Velvet Melon
· Martha Stewart or Fiskars punch
· Clearsnap : ColorBox Archival Dye Ink - Tree Frog
· Oh My Vinyl : White, Metallic Silver, Caribbean blue
· Inkssentials : Glossy Accents
· Mark Richards : Metal Stickers Nailheads - Hot Pink 3MM

Instructions:

1. Punch out banner from Mind Minds Eye paper kit and apply Glossy Accents over the banner and set aside to let dry.
2. Die cut box with My Minds Eye patterned paper.
3. Distress the edges with green ink

TIP: Inkssentials Blending Foam creates a smooth transition of ink when applied directly to papers. It is great for this project to give a softer and more consistent color of ink compared to using the ink pad directly onto the paper.

4. With white paper, punch a scalloped border 12” long and cut ½” wide. Ink the paper light green with Inkssentials Blending Foam.

5. Cut white and blue strip of paper to layer behind scallop strip. Adhere.
6. Apply Mark Richards stickers in groups of three along the 12” strip.
7. Cut white vinyl at 3 ¾” x 2 ¼” and apply to one side of box. Adhere the banner (from step one) to the top and bottom of the white vinyl.

8. With Silhouette SD, cut out a flourish 1”x3” with silver vinyl and apply over white vinyl. Cut “Mom” 1”x3” with blue vinyl and apply on top of silver vinyl.
9. On smooth white paper, stamp the butterfly with clear ink and emboss with silver embossing powder. Color butterfly with creamy chalk, apply Mark Richards stickers to the body of the butterfly, cut out butterfly and apply to right corner of box.

10. Fold box and tie one side with Making Memories velvet ribbon. Fill with candy and finish by tying the other side.

Happy Crafting!
