Boxes are so fun to craft with because there are a plethora of creative projects that can be made with them.  You could use them as gift boxes, jewelry boxes, home decor, etc.

You are going to love these new, super fashionable boxes that Lindsey made.  They feature the Graphic 45: Steampunk Debutante paper padMaking Memories glitter buttons, Prima flowers, Maya Road buttons, 7gypsies hardware, and Jenni Bowlin buttons.

You can't add too many embellishments- the more the merrier, right?

Here's another:

If you have leftover paper after creating your boxes, why not make a card to match them?

Introducing...

LYNN COLEFAX!

I am a retired housewife and just became a grandmother for the first time. I live in Brisbane, Australia and have made my own cards for probably the last 10 years. I have not purchased a card since.

I became enthused with scrapbooking after going on a trip to the US back in 2005. I have not stopped, and after a few trips back to the US and Europe, my shelves are becoming stocked with scrapbooking albums. I just love all the new products that are shown on the OMC website and find them very hard to resist. I also spend time at my local scrapbooking shop learning new techniques and having a great time with fellow enthusiasts. It is a great hobby and one which my husband encourages me to do.

We asked Lynn to the following questions to get a better idea of her crafty-ness:

1. What do you craft? Cardmaker, scrapbooker, etc.?  I do both cards and scrapbooking and I love both styles of papercraft

2. Favorite technique or tool you use?  I am continually using my Cricut and the Cuttlebug

3. How long have you been crafting?  Cardmaking for the last 10 years and scrapbooking for the last 5 years. You could say I am addicted.

4. How long have you been an OMC customer?  I have been a customer for probably the last 12 months only. What I did before that I really don't know!!!

5. What are your favorite products you can find at OMC?  My favorite products are the Cricut cartridges and also the Cuttlebug/Sizzix dies and embossing folders

6. What is your favorite thing about OMC?  My favorite things about OMC are the continuous emails, re orders, and deliveries. Also the site is very user friendly and the amount of stock is second to none.

7. Favorite quote or phrase?  Just don't think about it, just do it !!!!

Lynn was kind enough to show us some of her incredible projects:

Thank you Lynn for being this month's customer spotlight and for being such a great customer.  We just love your craft-style.

Curious how YOU could become our next OMC Customer Spotlight? Email us at contest@ohmycrafts.com with Customer Spotlight in the title to find out how!

Home is where the Haunt is

Halloween always feels like one of those holidays that just sneaks up on us.  And then before we know it, we are putting up our decorations only a couple of weeks before the holiday, and then taking them right back down;  sadly, we don't get to enjoy them for nearly long enough.  It's a chilling story, we know, but it can have a happy ending!  Here's how...stay tuned to our blog here Oh My Crafts and we will give you the best ideas to make your house stand out this Halloween year;  This year, that sad story won't be yours!

Usually, haunted houses, and at times, being completely scared to death, are all part of Halloween, right?  Wrong.  That's what we thought until we saw this Haunted House from our designer Lindsey.  Finally, you can have a Halloween with more fun than frights!  Seriously,  this haunted house is amazing, and will look great in your home this October (or sooner, because we know you won't be able to wait to put it on display once you create it).

Here's the front view of the house.  Notice the fun little bats 'flying' all around it.

Don't you think this cupola completes the haunted house?

Even the windows have a fun spooky feeling.

Creepy-Crawly creatures (fake ones of course) could inhibit your haunted house.

 HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

That's not all...here's more from Lindsey.  And Good News!!!  Trees can be for more than just Christmas.  Check out this Happy Halloween tree.

Decorate it with the most Halloween-ee ornaments ever.  Your tree will look darling haunted and scary when you're done.

Lindsey sure did do a GREAT job on the Haunted House and Tree.  If you have any questions, please email her at lindsfill@gmail.com; put the name of the project as your subject title.

Happy Hauntings!
