OMC is Subbing for Santa!

Monday, December 6, 2010

We have been given a wonderful opportunity to provide Christmas for two local families who are in need of temporary assistance through United Way’s Sub for Santa program.  As their sponsor, we are encouraged to provide these families with some basic needed items for the holidays that some of us might take for granted. In the front lobby of our building is the OMC Christmas Giving Tree where we will be hanging paper ornaments with the name and needs of each of child. We as a company and our employees are all working together to help these families enjoy the true spirit of Christmas.

If you wish to help us support these families, you can donate by clicking the following link: DONATIONS

The proceeds of your donations will go towards our Sub for Santa families. Follow our Giving Tree to see how you and OMC helped make a difference this holiday season!

What is Sub for Santa?

Sub for Santa is a temporary Christmas assistance program, which matches sponsors with families looking for help. Applicants will be provided with learning opportunities to help them better manage their money, time, and talents. As a result, children are given what every child deserves: a delightful Christmas Season.

Sub for Santa provides gifts for children between 18 months and 14 years of age in Utah County. This temporary assistance program fosters self-sufficiency as applicants discuss different ways to manage their time, money and talents. Last year, Sub for Santa provided nearly 2,000 families and more than 5,400 children with much-needed assistance while helping to maintain their self-sufficiency.
