Leprechaun Hat and Shoe

Supplies Used for Both Projects:
Black and Green Craft Paint
Doodlebug : Glitter - Black, Green

Wood Designs: Leprechaun Hat and Leprechaun Shoe
Sizzix : eclips Cartridge - Holiday - "Luck O' The Irish"
Sizzix : eclips Cartridge - Basic Shapes - "Oval Elegant"
Doodlebug : Sweet Pea Sugar Coated Cardstock
Tim Holtz : Distress Ink Pad - Vintage Photo
K&Company : Glad Tidings Cardstock - Gold

Martha Stewart : Flourished Square Punch
American Crafts : Glitter Ribbon - Black

Coordinating Green Scrapbook Paper

3L Foam Squares

Instructions for the Hat:
1. Paint the entire piece of wood black. Let dry.
2. Sand the edges with a large nail file.
3. Ink the edges using an Inkssentials blending tool and the Tim Holtz Vintage Photo distress ink
4. Paint the entire piece of wood with Mod Podge. Sprinkle lightly with black Doodlebug glitter.
5. After the Mod Podge and glitter is dry, spray with a sealant to secure the black glitter
6. Using the Holidays cartridge, cut the words "Luck O The Irish"out of ebony vinyl (size ½"). Cut out two shamrocks, one a shape and one a shadow (size 1 ½") out of the Doodlebug Sweetpea Sugar coated cardstock.
7. Using the Basic Shapes cartridge, cut out an elegant oval 4" out of black cardstock. Cover with Mod Podge and sprinkle with the black glitter.
8. Cut out an oval of coordinating green paper and adhere it to the center of the elegant oval. Adhere the phrase to the center of the oval.
9. Use the drill to drill a small hole in the hat. Attach the elegant oval to the hat using some wire. 

10. Cut a buckle out of gold cardstock using the flourish square punch. Adhere to the hat along with a piece of the black glitter ribbon. Also adhere the shamrock to the hat. 

Instructions for the Shoe:
1. Paint the entire piece of wood green. Let dry. Paint the sole and the heel of the shoe black. Let dry.
2. Sand the edges with a large nail file.
3. Paint the entire piece of wood with Mod Podge. Sprinkle lightly with green Doodlebug glitter.
4. After the Mod Podge and glitter is dry, spray with a sealant to secure the green glitter
5. Using the Basic Shapes cartridge, cut out an elegant oval 4" out of green cardstock. Cover with Mod Podge and sprinkle with the green glitter.
6. Using the Stickles Glitter Glue, write the word "St. Pattys" on the center of the elegant oval and adhere the shamrock to the center of the oval.
7. Use the drill to drill a small hole in the hat. Attach the elegant oval to the hat using some wire.
8. Cut a buckle out of the gold cardstock using the flourish square punch. Adhere the buckle and other two shamrocks to the shoe. Add a piece of black tulle to the buckle.
